Team Guardian

Last June, CASA approached Ken Kimberly of Team Guardian Motorsports (pictured to the far right)and airbrush artist Paul Thomas of Dreamland Signworks in Jonesboro (pictured to the far left) about creating something that would attract males who are willing to join CASA's advocacy efforts. The team decided to create the "Duck Truck", a race-modified 1993 Dodge D350 Turbo Cummins diesel drag truck. The truck runs on bio-diesel and it was designed to incoroprate CASA's signature icon, the duck. The Duck Truck is used to "introduce, educate, and enlist" volunteers via motorsports. If you are a male or know any males willing to team up with Team Guardian Motorsports, contact Clayton County CASA at 770-477-3268.
For the last nine years, CASA has sponsored the Darlin' Duck Derby, an annual fundraiser whereby more than 4,000 rubber ducks are loaded into a holding tank then released down a winding water slide on the front lawn of the Clayton County Courthouse. This is a fun-filled event for the entire family to enjoy the day with CASA and Duckie.
The Duck Truck was on display at the 9th annual Darlin' Duck Derby.
