Clayton County CASA October 2007 Training Class

Congratulations to our newly sworn-in CASA volunteers!

After completing more than 40 hours of classroom instruction and courtroom observations, our newest group of child advocates were officially sworn-in on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the Carl Rhodenizer Recreation Center in Rex, GA by the Honorable Judge Steven C. Teske, Clayton County Juvenile Court.

Family and friends captured the evening by supporting this commitment of rewarding experiences to help a child in need. These Court Appointed Special Advocates have officially taken the oath to act in good faith to advocate for the child's best interest in court proceedings, the social service system, and the community. More specifically, these trained CASA Volunteers will work in conjunction with the Juvenile Court, Superior Court, the Department of Family and Children Services, and others from the community, to provide support services and bring relevant information, resources, and recommendations to the Court in the best interests of children.

Special thanks to the Friends of Clayton County CASA Advisory Board, Clayton County Juvenile Court, Honorable Judges, family, friends, and CASA staff members that make all efforts possible.
