Our Advisory Board, The Friends of Clayton County CASA (FCCC), was established in 1998 to help support the local CASA program with fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and public awareness efforts. Now a 16 seat board, the "Friends" is comprised of passionate, dedicated citizens within our community and surrounding areas.
Sabrina Crawford, Board Chair
Sabrina Crawford is married to Tim Crawford and has 4 children - Mandy age 20, Meagan age 19, Jennifer age 18, and Clay age 13. Employed in the automotive industry for more than 19 years, in 2003 she and her husband became Co-Owners of Heritage Cadillac Saab in Morrow, Georgia. Sabrina shares, "My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family." I love watching my son play baseball!" Aside from her volunteer work and leadership capacity with Clayton County CASA, Sabrina is a Rotarian in the Clayton County Rotary Club and a major supporter of the Keith Brookings Foundation of Atlanta, Georgia.
Jane Glaze, Board Treasurer
Jane Glaze is a Paralegal for Glaze and Glaze, PC. She is married to Ken Kimberley, an Australian with a wild sense of humor and she has two children - Travis and Misty. Jane's also a proud grandma of two - 15 year old Jordon and eight year old Samantha. A member of the Red Hat Bodacious Beauties of Stockbridge, Jane's been rooted in Clayton County for over 45 years. She enjoys reading books about animals (especially the overweight cat Mow Mow) and spoiling Samantha! Jane is involved with a multitude of activities that impact CASA in so many positive ways!
Christopher Leopold, Board Member
Chris Leopold received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After obtaining his degree, he went on to pursue a juris doctorate from Southern Law School. Now a resident of Clayton County, Chris has become a well-respected attorney practicing in the areas of personal injury and criminal law in Jonesboro. "I am one who believes that it is important that we invest in our children's future by helping cultivate an environment for success". In addition to his role as a CASA Board Member, Chris volunteers to coach for the Riverdale High School Mock Trial team and is an active member of Elizabeth Baptist Church in Atlanta, the Georgia State Bar Association, the Clayton County Bar Association, and the Georgia Alliance of African American Attorneys.
Mario Orizabal, Board Member
Mario was born in Guatemala, Central America, and came to the United States in 1972. In 1974 he joined the United States Army and retired in 1995 after 21 years of military service. While in active duty, he participated in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm during the Gulf War and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for exceptionally meritorious service in support of the United States Army Forces Central Command, and the Multi-National Coalition. In November 2004, Mario completed his training with the Clayton County CASA program and has worked tirelessly as a volunteer in various capacities for the organization since then. A year later in November 2005, Mario was recognized for his consistent hard work by being selected as a Friends of Clayton County CASA Advisory Board member. He has been married to his beautiful wife Blanca Estela since January 1978 and has four daughters: Diana, Johanna, Veronica, and Carmen, and two grandsons: nine year old Alexander and five year old Christian.
Debbie Stinson, Board Member, ABCs Chairperson
Debbie was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been employed with the Clayton County Court System for 12 plus years. Debbie and her husband have two daughters, Patricia and Carlie, and three grandchildren that keep them young and quite busy. She welcomed the opportunity CASA presented in 2005 to be a volunteer with the ABCs and is so thankful to be able to spend time with children in foster and relative care. Debbie now sits as the active Chair of the Ambassadors Behind CASA, and works tirelessly to plan and execute events for the children. The ABCs are a small but growing group, and Debbie is sure that with the help of so many others, it will get better each and every year.
Janie Herron, Board Member
As an accountant for the Clayton County Board of Commissioners for the past five years, Janie's experience has afforded her the qualifications to professionally serve the public. In her capacity, she has performed an entire range of in-depth professional and accounting services for the local government and is responsible for a wide variety of sensitive and complex duties including analytical, coordinative, and advisory tasks. When asked why she feels the need to volunteer in our community? Janie says, "I want to put back into the community the leadership that I have gained and experienced."
